The park is home to most of the classical Syracuse Greek and Roman monuments: the Basilica of St. Nicholas of Cordari, the Roman amphitheatre, the altar of Ierone II, the Greek theatre, exhibits on the Sanctuary of Apollo Temenite and necropolis Grotticelle with the tomb of Archimedes.
