Botanic garden Alpinia

The botanic garden is located at 800 m altitude and it streches on about 4 ha. of land, enjoying a fine viewpoint of the Lake Maggiore, the Borromeo islands and mountains. It hosts in particular all the species belonging to the alpine and subalpine zones of the Alps, although quite remarkable are also some species common to the Caucasus as well as to China and Japan. The botanic garden can be reached by the cableway Alpino-Mottarone, stopping at Alpino, or following the road that leads to the Mottarone park.
