The high level of quality of Space Hotels affiliates is attested to by their frequent renovations and inaugurations of new spaces and services. Even new entries, such as The Hub in Milan, live up to these high standards.
New silhouette on the Milanese skyline
Located in the heart of the new business and exhibition district of Milan, The Hub has an efficient, free shuttle bus service to both the new Milano Rho/Pero exhibition centre and the original Fiera Milano City. The hotel has a variety of rooms and suites, all with a distinct minimalist touch, warm colours, modern materials and hi-tech functionalities, which create a soft and intimate ambiance. It also offers a modern conference centre with nine rooms that seat from 30 to 200 people for a total capacity of 600, all fitted with cutting-edge equipment and illuminated by natural light. The hotel opens in October 2009.
New spaces and renovations in eight hotels
The Hotel Al Cappello Rosso in Bologna will soon offer its clientele a second meeting room that seats 10 people and a free internet point. The T Hotel in Cagliari has updated its hospitality philosophy regarding business clients; its meeting room is now located on two floors allowing for both work and relaxation. The Atlantic Palace in Firenze has a new meeting room that seats 20 people, a new breakfast room facing onto a lovely winter garden, new superior and deluxe rooms and suites with high-speed Wi-Fi connections and a wireless internet point in both the lobby and the completely renovated bar area. The Hotel Mirage in Milano has renovated three meeting rooms adding windows to create a natural light source. The warm, hospitable rooms are fitted with modern technical equipment for better management of meetings. In 2008 the Hotel Ovest in Piacenza underwent a complete renovation adding cutting-edge services to its guestrooms. It also passed from a three to four star hotel, inaugurated a business lounge and was awarded ISO 9001 quality certification by SGS Italia. The Hotel Luxor in Rimini has just inaugurated its new and original Spazio 06; a 50-m2 multifunctional room with innovative sound-absorbing drapery that can be used for a variety of needs. The room has a parquet floor, trompe-l'oeil decorations and adjustable lighting. Over the past two years, the Regina Palace in Stresa has added two new meeting rooms, the larger of which seats 540. Last year, it added 44 guestrooms to its original 170 for a new total offer of 214 rooms. In the spring of 2008, it opened a new fitness centre with a heated indoor swimming pool that has water features, special effects and an exclusive hydromassage area. The Grand Hotel Sitea in Torino has blended elegance and tradition with technology and innovation in its renovated Salone Cavour including the installation of a sophisticated audio-visual system.
Three hotels restyled in Rome
The Hotel Artemide has installed Wi-Fi coverage throughout its entire structure and six computers with webcams in its ground floor business centre. It also offers its guests a 24-hour-a-day internet point and a gym with a sauna. The Hotel Forum has completely renovated its conference room, which can now hold up to 100 people. The Villa Vecchia in Frascati has renovated its Sala Parisi including detailed wall decorations and upgraded technical equipment. The hotel has also restyled 10 guestrooms and created new, spacious deluxe rooms, all of which have a panoramic view.
