Space Hotels, TTG 2011
Rimini Exhibition Centre - Pavilion C3 Stand 35 - 6 to 8 October 2011
Space Hotels, which is highly committed to its activities of hotel reservation and marketing, was present at the 2011 TTG exhibition sharing its stand with several of its affiliates: the Hotel Forum and the Beverly Hills in Rome, the Hotel Milano Alpen Resort Meeting & Spa in Bratto della Presolana, the Hotel Saturnia & International in Venice, the Hotel Tiferno in Città di Castello, the Hotel Methis in Padua, the Hotel Panorama in Syracuse, the Regio Hotel Manfredi in Manfredonia, as well as the Hotel Mirage and The Hub Hotel in Milan.
Space Hotels brought lots of good news for travellers to the exhibition; for example, as of January 2011, the daily room rates of all Space Hotels affiliates will include a buffet breakfast and a half-litre bottle of mineral water per person and at least one hour of internet connection in-room or at the hotel's internet point.
Space Hotels' affiliates are chosen for their quality and range of services but, above all, for their location. Most of the hotels are located in the heart of the city or in key areas for business and exhibitions. Three new hotels have joined the group in the last year (the Abacus in Sesto San Giovanni, the Methis in Padua and the Panorama in Syracuse) and one has returned: the Hotel Milano Alpen Resort Meeting & Spa in Bratto della Presolana in the Dolomites of the province of Bergamo; the first ever "BioWellness" certified hotel in the world.
Space Hotels constantly focuses its attention on travellers, which it manifests in many ways including: publishing information on its website (www.spacehotels.it) about shows, events and festivals taking place in the destinations where its affiliates are located to enhance business travel with entertainment; offering complimentary "Space Travel Notes" travel scrapbooks in the tradition of travel notebooks that accompanied such famous people as Hemingway and Chatwin, where travellers can express their creativity and find original and fun tips from the Italian "School of Travel". There is also a dedicated blog (www.spacetravelnotes.com) that offers more tips on writing, drawing and photography every week. Space Hotels also has a tollfree reservation number (800-813013) answered by pleasant female voices from Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, which makes a lovely difference to automatic answering systems.
Internet, which has become an integral part of our lives, has also become more present in the world of Space Hotels. The importance of their new website (www.spacehotels.it), launched in May 2011, has been increasing and the volume of reservations made through it were 250% greater than in the same period of the previous year.
Space Hotels was founded in 1974 to supply reservation, marketing and sales services to carefully selected hotels in the heart of Italian cities and the most charming historic centres with an objective to contribute to the satisfaction of travellers in Italy. Space Hotels, the Italian branch of the Supranational Hotels group, has over 90 three to five star hotels in 55 cities throughout the country. The entire Supranational chain offers more than 1,000 hotels in 75 nations and over 500 cities, which can be reached through 21 reservation offices, the GDS (code SX), the Internet at www.spacehotels.it or their tollfree number 800-813-013. The Space Hotels offer includes: business or leisure stays with interesting special rates; organisation of meetings and conferences; fine cuisine by some of the best Italian chefs; relaxation, massages and saunas in elegant spas and wellness centres.
