Space Hotels, WTM 2011
Space Hotels will have good news for visitors to its stand (GV501) at the WTM tourism fair taking place in London from 7 to 10 November 2011. Its annual turnover is positive, it has new affiliations and it will be presenting its "Space Travel Notes" travel scrapbook with a dedicated blog.
Space Hotels' web-based reservations during the period from January to September 2011 showed a 62% increase with respect to the same period in 2010, while the turnover produced by the GDS increased by 28%. Some markets showed significant increases; the first being Germany, which increased by 25%, then the USA by 18% and then Great Britain by 14%.
During the London fair, Space Hotels will present its new affiliations to the international market: the Abacus Hotel in Sesto San Giovanni, the Hotel Panorama in Syracuse and the Methis Hotel in Padua. The prestigious Hotel Milano Alpen Resort Meeting & Spa, located in the Orobie Alps in province of Bergamo, returns to in Space Hotels after a four-year absence. This choice is most gratifying to the reservation and marketing group that recognises the hotel's professionalism, seriousness and transparency, all of which are values that have distinguished the group since its foundation in 1974. Other affiliations are coming in 2012 and will be announced soon.
At the WTM, Space Hotels will present the international market with its "Space Travel Notes", an initiative coming from the observation that travelling has become a part of people's lifestyle thanks to its greater ease and lower prices, thereby allowing travellers to visit their favourite destinations as often as they can. People's increased taste for travel has also come from the growth of the Internet, which allows them to share passions and projects with other people thousands of kilometres away and stimulates them to go to other countries to have new experiences.
Space Hotels has concretised these reflections by working with the Italian "School of Travel" on the creation of their complimentary "Space Travel Notes" scrapbook, which is given to the guests of affiliated hotels. People who wish to express themselves creatively will find that it is filled with fun and original tips. There is also a dedicated blog (at www.spacetravelnotes.com) that offers more tips on writing, drawing and photography every week.
